We missed the precious things....

After almost 17 months of lockdowns, we realized that there are two very precious things we cannot live without: time and freedom.

It was not until we lost our freedom of movement for many months on end did we realize how important time was: time with family, time with friends, time exploring.

Our freedom in the context of time is intrinsically connected to our being. Do you notice that when you think back at 2020 and early 2021, that there is something missing? Like the fabric of life from that period is fraught with holes and omissions? Where did the time go, did it disappear? We certainly noticed that something was missing, something very precious that we cannot get back: time!

Seeing that our freedom and time is so precious, we are going to be using some of our precious time to reconnect with family and explore the beauty of all the places around us. But for now, we are just stretching our travel muscles after months of inactivity, so we will be closed for only a short stint this time around.

From August 5th to August 12th we will be closed but if you’re planning a road trip to Annapolis Royal, this small town has so much to offer. So, make sure you check out all the lovely galleries, shops and restaurants. All the businesses sure appreciate seeing real faces and making real connections.
