In October we will be hosting George Smith; a life-long artist originally from Liverpool, England. George studied painting and sculpture at Liverpool University (BFA) under personal tutelage of David Nash and apprenticed with sculptor Sean Rice.
George's exhibition at Round Hill Studio titled “Postcards From the Edge” is inspired by early 20th century erotica that was published in the form of postcards, mostly in the 20s and 30s. The coy, the playful, the almost innocent - the tantalizing tease that never revealed too much and therefore left the power and control with the subject, to entice the viewer but never giving herself away.
“Postcards From the Edge” will be exhibited from October 4-31st and the reception will be on October 4th, from 6-8 PM.
