When stone meets metal. James Lightle re-uses and melts aluminum in his forge and pours the molten metal into moulds of his imaginative creation. He loves to give new life to unwanted things. These barnacles were made from old screen doors. The stones were collected from Delapse Cove. When people heard that he has been reclaiming aluminum, they often come by the studio with their “old stuff” , happy they will be given an new lease on life as art.
